Services

1) Can I have a behavior technician?
Behavior services, including the use of a technician, are assessed and recommended by a Licensed Behavior Analyst based on the needs of the client.

 2) Do you need a diagnosis to receive services?
Many services are covered through insurance. For this, however, a qualified behavioral health diagnosis is necessary for any behavior analytic services.  Based on need, services can be provided without a diagnosis should an individual choose to privately pay. 

 3) Do you have to be diagnosed with autism to receive services?
It is not necessary to have a diagnosis of autism to receive behavior analytic services. Services may be appropriate for many different diagnoses and/or challenging behaviors.   

 4) How can I start services?
In order to begin services, you must submit a referral to referrals@waldenbehaviors.com. You can click here to fill out the referral form and automatically submit it now. 

5) Can I send a referral for myself for services?
Anyone is able to send in a referral for services. You can do that now by clicking this link or by sending a completed form to referrals@waldenbehaviors.com

6) Is a referral from a doctor required?
An initial needs assessment can be requested directly by the guardian for any behavior analytic services. 

7) How much do you charge?
Services vary in cost based on the complexity of the service and need of the individual. Most services are covered by insurance and require you to only pay your member responsibility as determined by your insurance provider. 

8) Does Walden diagnose?

No, Walden provides ABA treatment after a diagnosis has been established. We do not complete any assessments that would establish a diagnosis.

9) What insurances does Walden take? 

Kentucky Medicaid, Molina/Passport, Aetna, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky, Michelle P. Waiver, Wellcare, Cigna, Anthem, Anthem Medicaid, United Healthcare, Tricare

10) In what settings are services provided?

Walden’s service settings include the center (WALC), community, home, school, and/or residential. For more information on each setting, visit the services page.

11) Does Walden provide counseling services or medication management services?

No, Walden only provides applied behavior analytic services.

12) Does Walden provide inpatient or outpatient services?

Walden strictly provides outpatient services.

General Information

 1) Are you associated with Walden school?
We have no affiliation with the Walden school.

 2) What are your hours of operation?
Our main office is open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and 9:00 am - 12:30 pm, Friday. Office hours differ from appointment times.

3) What holidays is the main office closed for?

We observe all federal holidays. This includes New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

4) Does Walden follow the JCPS school calendar? 

No, we operate on our own schedule. If you have a question in regards to closing, please call the office at (502) 915-8796.
